Optional Life
Insurance - Employee
If basic life insurance
coverage is not enough to meet your needs, you can buy optional life insurance
coverage in units of $10,000 up to a maximum of $500,000.
The cost of this benefit is paid through payroll
deductions. This cost depends on your age, your sex and whether or not you are a smoker.
You must provide evidence
of insurability for any initial amount and for any amount in excess of your
current coverage. You must then complete and submit the form that will be presented
at the end of the process. Any increase in coverage comes into effect when the
application is approved. Payroll deductions associated to this increase will
also begin at the same time.
